How did you feel before starting your internship with us?

Before starting my internship, I felt both excited and nervous. I was worried about my translation skills because I didn’t consider myself very good at it. Additionally, I’m not naturally outgoing, so I was afraid I might have trouble getting along with others, even though I always try to be friendly and smile at everyone.

What was the most valuable thing you learned from your internship?

The most valuable lesson I’ve learned from my internship is the importance of continuous learning and self-improvement. I’ve had the opportunity to work with new programs such as Trados Studio 2011, Xbench, and SDLXLIFF Compare. I’ve also learned about time management and how to adapt translation styles to different types of work. Each project has specific details, so following instructions carefully is essential. If I make a mistake, I’ve learned to recognize it, learn from it, and apply that knowledge to my future work. I’ve also become more attentive to details like spelling, spacing, and tags.

What did you like about our company and our people?

I truly love the company’s atmosphere. It is a clean, peaceful, and welcoming place. Everyone here is kind and has taught me valuable lessons about both work and life. I felt like I had another family. One of the most meaningful things someone told me here was, "Live a happy life, but do not trouble anybody." That phrase really resonated with me. People here always offer motivation and encouragement, which makes me feel comfortable and supported.

How has the internship helped you so far?

The internship has helped me in many ways. It has given me the opportunity to learn how a translation company operates and has shown me that working in the real world is very different from studying in a classroom. This experience has been invaluable, and I am grateful for everything I’ve learned.

Before starting my internship at LT TextNova as a translator trainee, I was quite nervous about my performance in this role. With little experience in translation, I was worried about the types of tasks I would be assigned—whether they would suit me or, at the very least, whether I would be able to translate them well.

When I started working here, I have to admit that I struggled a lot during my first week. I had trouble figuring out how to open translation files and use the Translation Memory (TM) and Termbases. Since I was the last intern to join, I had to ask my two internship friends for help, and they kindly taught me everything I needed to know. After a week, I gained more confidence in my work and was able to handle tasks independently.

Regarding the work environment, I had a strong feeling that I would meet kind people and work in a peaceful setting. On my first day, when I came to take the test, I met P’Fon, who was incredibly kind and helpful. When I officially started working, my expectations turned out to be true! Every single person here is so nice and friendly, making it easy for me to adapt to the company and feel a sense of belonging. Working with supportive colleagues is the most important thing in my professional life. No matter how challenging the work is, I know I can overcome it with the encouragement, support, and positive energy of the people around me. They are a part of my cherished memories here.

The most valuable skills I have gained from this internship are work skills and professional development. I have learned how to translate effectively by applying feedback from each task. Moreover, I have developed time management skills, as every task has a deadline that I must always consider. In addition, I have learned how to collaborate with others. I realized that communication is essential in the workplace—you must speak up when there is a problem. Instead of waiting for others to notice, you should inform them immediately to keep the workflow moving. Seek help when needed rather than staying passive.

This internship has helped me grow in such a positive way. It has prepared me for the real working world by treating me like a professional rather than just an intern. I was taught everything I needed to know as a translator. Through this experience, I realized that becoming a great translator is not easy. It requires continuous self-improvement. It's not just about being good—it's about constantly getting better. That’s why the most important lesson I’ve learned here is the value of growth and improvement. This mindset can be applied to any aspect of my life. No matter what career path I choose in the future, I must always focus on self-development rather than settling at one level. Otherwise, I won’t be able to grow productively.

How did you feel before starting your internship with us?

Before starting my internship here, I had no worries and was quite confident that I could do the job well. This is because, personally, I love translation. When I play games or watch characters having conversations, I always try to understand what they are saying and translate it into my own language. Whenever I come across words or phrases I don’t understand, I make a note of them and look up their meanings later. This has become one of my favorite habits, and I thought I could apply this skill to the translation work here, making everything easy for me.

What was the most valuable thing you learned from your internship?

However, I quickly realized that I was completely wrong. I learned that translation is far more complex than I had imagined. It’s not just about understanding the original language—it’s about choosing the right words to fit the context of each task. Most of the assignments I worked on here were quite formal, so I had to be extra careful to use appropriate language and correct grammar. I admit that I had no prior knowledge of this, and I’m grateful to have learned it during my time here.

What did you like about our company and our people?

During working hours, everyone here seemed serious and focused, which made the office atmosphere quiet and a bit tense. But when lunchtime came, everything changed—they became cheerful, engaged in lively conversations, and created a warm and friendly atmosphere, which I really enjoyed. Plus, everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. They helped me a lot and gave me great advice. We got along so well that it felt like being part of a family.

How has the internship helped you so far?

In terms of work life, I have learned that working in the real world is completely different from being a student in a classroom. I have faced real workplace challenges, especially the pressure of meeting deadlines. At first, I struggled to adjust, but over time, I learned how to handle it.

In terms of everyday life, I lived alone in an apartment during my internship, which gave me the opportunity to practice self-management. I learned how to wake up early, adapt to a new and unfamiliar environment, and handle uncomfortable situations. All of this has helped prepare me for life after graduation.
